Lamar County saw the second day of testimonies in a capital murder case.

28-year old Steven LaRue faces charges of first-degree murder for the shooting death of 27-year old Trey Harvey on August 11, 2012 in Reno.
Jurors heard the voice recording from LaRue's truck at the time of the killing, it sounded like an argument between LaRue, Harvey and the Harvey's mother. Then jurors heard the shot that allegedly killed Harvey.

The victim's girlfriend and ex-wife of LaRue took the stand today, reading text messages between the two. They had been in a custody battle for their 6-year old son at the time of the killing.

Closing arguments will take place tomorrow, as the trial continues at 9 am.
