Carter County district judge won't run for 8th term

CARTER COUNTY, OK -- A Carter County district judge says he won't run for an 8th term.

In a press release, Judge Lee Card says that he will have completed 28 years of judicial service in December and that he made the decision after consulting with his family.

The judge went on to say that he'll finish out his term which expires in 2014.

For those who want to run for the position, the filing deadline is April 11th.
