City council looking into personnel audit in Paris

PARIS, TX-- The city of Paris is looking into an audit to analyze staffing levels and job descriptions for its personnel.

Paris currently has 350 full time city employees.

Council member John Wright says the city has not had an audit in many years, and with a relatively new city manager -- it's time to have one.

"I think we need to have a description for every job that we have, said John Wright. "We need to fill those needs and that's a very good way to determine how many people we need."

The city plans to use an in-house source for the audit.

Council members John Wright and Matt Frierson volunteered to be on the audit committee, along with city manager John Godwin.
