City of Sherman in process of selecting new police chief

SHERMAN, TEXAS -- The city of Sherman is still waiting to hear who their new police chief will be.

City Manager George Olson says council went into executive session, during a special meeting this afternoon, to discuss the candidates for the job.

They're looking to replace Chief Tom Watt, who's retiring after 31 years with the department.

Olson says he expects to announce a new police chief tomorrow.

They're looking to the two assistant chiefs, Otis Henry and Ken Francis, for the job. We'll keep you updated.
