CLEVELAND (AP) - The man charged with abducting three women and keeping them in his Cleveland home for about a decade has been found competent to stand trial.
At today's hearing, Ariel Castro asked for permission to visit with the child he'd fathered with one of the women he is accused of kidnapping and raping.
The judge called that "inappropriate," and denied the request.
A trial is scheduled for Aug. 5, but the judge said it could be delayed.
