COAL COUNTY, OK -- Friday community members gathered in Tupelo to honor a fallen Vietnam veteran.
A bridge dedication ceremony took place to honor Howard Lee Jones.
Jones served in the US Army and was killed in action during the Vietnam War.
State and local officials renamed a bridge on State Highway 48 near Clear Boggy after him.
Coal County Commissioner Johnny Ward says the county has dedicated over 25 bridges to local veterans who have died or were wounded in action.
