COLBERT, OK -- Police are looking for a man who they say burglarized the Dollar General store on Hwy 91 early this morning.

Just before 4 a.m. a man used a crowbar to break-in the glass on the front door, Police said.

The video shows the suspect then used a tow rope to jar the safe loose from behind the counter. The suspect loaded the safe into his SUV.

The man started to leave, but came back inside the store and stole cigarettes from the display case, Police said.

They describe the suspect as a light-skinned black male, 6 feet tall and weighing 185 pounds. The believe he acted alone.

Police chief Jeff Goerke said they are not sure how much money was in the stolen safe.

Goerke is asking for the public's help in locating the suspect.

"At this time we have no leads, other than what we've developed off the surveillance film and crime scene," he said. "But we're asking the public if anybody knows who this is, or can identify the individual to contact the Colbert Police department."

Anyone who has information on the crime can call Colbert Police at 580-296-2700.
