Country star Miranda Lambert opens store in Tishomingo

TISHOMINGO, OK - Hundreds lined up for the grand opening of a new business owned by a country music star. Miranda Lambert officially unlocked the doors to the Pink Pistol Friday night.

The stores name was inspired from her all-female band the Pistol Annies, but the idea came from someone close to her heart.

"The store itself came from my husband [Blake Shelton]," Lambert said. "He encouraged me to open it. I love to make things."

The Pink Pistol sells everything from antiques to boots to jewelry. The singer-songwriter is a Texas native but calls Tishomingo her second hometown.

Instead of Black Friday, Lambert said she calls the day after Thanksgiving Pink Friday and hopes to make it an annual tradition.

"Everyone in this town has gotten behind me and everyone has decorated their windows in pink," Lambert said. "Everyone gets to see how Blake and I live when we aren't on tour."
