Denison ambulance and car collide

DENISON, TX -- An ambulance collides with a car in Denison Tuesday night while responding to an emergency.

Just before 8:00 p.m. two firefighters were headed east on Morton Street when they collided with this car. Assistant fire chief, Bill Ray, says both firefighters and the woman driving the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

"The ambulance crew will obviously be checked out. They're both claiming muscle strains in the accident. And then of course our usual city ordinance calls for anytime we're involved in an accident they will go through a drug screen process," Ray said.

Denison police are investigating the cause of the accident.
