Denison announces 2 new directors and upcoming events

DENISON, TX - Denison city leaders and tourism officials gathered to mingle and talk about upcoming events Tuesday evening.

Two new directors were also introduced at the meeting held at the Texas Tourism Information Center.

Joining the team is Shelly Morgan who's the new director of the Lake Texoma Association and John Akers who is now the site manager at the Eisenhower Birthplace.

At the meeting Akers mentioned some enhanced and new events they're working on.

According to Akers, "Over the next couple years we plan to add more events that talk about one is about Eisenhower in the media. So maybe we'll look at movies and things that are related to him or related to the events that he's involved in. "

The group also discussed the upcoming World Aerobatics competition at Tuesday nights gathering.

Austin College Commencement Celebration Nearing
