DENISON, TX -- Denison Main Street is working on a project to capture oral histories of local World War II veterans.
Director Donna Dow said they're collecting in-depth interviews with the local veterans.
She said they hope to eventually build a veteran museum - where visitors can watch the interviews.
She said they'll also put parts of the interviews online.
They plan to debut the interviews at the Eisenhower birthday celebration in the fall.
"Just really some great information that can be lost if we don't help capture the history," she said.
Dow said they're looking for any World War II veterans who'd like to share their story, as well as volunteers to help with the project.
