DENISON, TX -- The hunt for a Grayson County man considered armed and dangerous ended Friday night.
After nearly five hours of searching Denison Police say they found the body of 63-year-old Billy Wayne Holt in a wooded area of Waterloo Lake Park just before 7 o'clock. Authorities say he died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Several area agencies began looking for Holt around 2 p.m after he failed to appear in court.
"Billy Holt was in court this morning and received a couple of felony convictions, and then after lunch did not appear back in court again," Lt. Mike Eppler said.
Lt. Mike Eppler with Denison Police says Holt was convicted of Theft over $200,000 and Misapplication of Fiduciary Funds. Eppler says Holt could have faced up to 99 years behind bars.
