Dollar store robber gets 22 years in prison

DURANT, OK - A Calera man who robbed three Bryan County dollar stores last year is headed to prison.

56-year-old Charles Michael Trover pleaded no contest to three counts of robbery this spring. A district judge sentenced him to 22 years in prison Thursday.

Investigators say Trover first robbed the Dollar General in Caddo last September, then the store's Colbert location the next month, and then a Durant store a couple of weeks later. Police caught up to him and arrested Trover four days after his last heist.
