Dr. Richard Swint speaks about Lake Crook Development Project

PARIS, TX-- Dr. Richard Swint, who made a $100,000 donation with his wife to the city of Paris last month, addressed the council about the Lake Crook Development Project Monday night.

Dr. Swint says he does not agree with a decision the council made regarding the park. He said the council approved marketing the Lake Crook property at a December meeting, and that it should be rescinded.

Dr. Swint believes the land should not be sold, and be used as a public park for the people of Paris.

"I think the ability for us to develop this is there and I think we should exert some effort," said Dr. Swint.

The Swint's want their $100,000 donation to be used for lodges, trails and wildlife areas around the park.
