Driver in deadly Bryan Co. chase charged with manslaughter

BRYAN CO., OK -- The man authorities say is responsible for a deadly high speed chase through Bryan County early Monday morning has been charged with 1st degree manslaughter.

26-year-old Kellis Glenn Barnett was arrested by Colbert police after crashing his vehicle during the pursuit.

The accident happened on Upper River Road in Colbert.

Police say Barnett was trying to turn when he lost control and hit a tree.

A passenger, Neil Allen Johnston, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
