ERCOT offers free app

TEXAS-- Texas residents looking for helpful hints to save on electric bills, can take advantage of a free mobile app from ERCOT.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, released their new app Wednesday, where users can get updates on operating conditions and check for tips on how to conserve energy and save money.

Users can also sign up for notifications, when the electric grid is experiencing increased demand.

ERCOT provides power to nearly 23 million customers, or about 85% of Texas households.
