PONTOTOC COUNTY, OK -- An elderly Pontotoc County woman has been arrested for allegedly dealing marijuana out of her home.

According to Pontotoc County Sheriff John Christian, 83-year-old Patsey Marlene Maxwell was taken into custody Monday at her home on South Alderson Street in Stonewall.

Christian says a search warrant was issued following a month-long investigation. More than four pounds of marijuana, a small caliber pistol, cash, and drug paraphernalia were taken from her home. Christian said the marijuana was high grade, and a portion of it was individually packaged for distribution. Because the home lies within 2,000 feet of a school, Maxwell faces enhanced charges.

Several departments including Ada Police, the Pontotoc County Sheriff's Office, and the Chickasaw Lighthorse Police worked together to make the arrest.
