BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- An elderly man was pinned in his vehicle for over twenty minutes after a single car accident this morning in Bryan County.

It happened just before 8:30 a.m. about four miles west of Achille.
Officials say the man's wife was driving westbound on highway 91 going about 60 miles an hour when she ran her four-door sedan into a tree.

The wreck jammed the passenger side door leaving the man pinned inside for about 25 minutes.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Officer Michael Green says the driver was okay but the jaws of life were used to retrieve the man before taking him to Texoma Medical Center.

"Driver seemed to be fine," said Officer Green. "She stated that she looked down for a second. Felt like she was going off the road. Overcorrected, hit the brakes and that's when the crash happened."

Names have not been released
