ATOKA COUNTY, OKLAHOMA -- An inmate that escaped from the Howard McLeod Correctional Center is back in custody.
The Atoka County Sheriff's Office says 31-year-old Michael Renville failed to report for the 6:30 p.m. headcount this evening.
According to the Department of Corrections public information officer, Jerry Massie, Renville returned to the correctional center around 12:15 a.m. Thursday morning.
Renville was serving time for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery of a police officer.
This is the third escape in Texoma in less than a month.
