Ex-North Lamar High School equipment manager pleads guilty

LAMAR CO., TX -- A former North Lamar High School equipment manager charged with child sex crimes pleaded guilty Tuesday.

According to the district clerks office, 40-year-old Winton Braxton plead guilty to two counts of sexually assaulting a child.

He received a 10 year deferred sentence and a one thousand dollar fine.

Police say they received a call in October from the parents of the victim telling them their 16-year old daughter was pregnant by Braxton.

Paris Police say the child was not a student at North Lamar High School.
