Fannin County Electric Co-Op employee arrested

BONHAM, TX-- A Fannin County Electric Co-Op employee was arrested, Thursday, accused of stealing more than $200,000 from the electricity provider.

Tabitha Caplinger's colleagues say, in her 20 years with the company, they believe she's stolen hundreds of thousands more.

Detective Jason Boyd says he began investigating Caplinger after another co-op employee tipped off police.

Electric company workers say it could take a month or longer to fully audit and know how much money was taken.

Detective Boyd says that this is a unique case for him.
