Fire destroys Bryan County family's home

BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- Flames destroyed the home of a Bryan County family Friday afternoon.

Durant Firefighters say a home at Saw Mill and Paddock Loop caught fire around 3:15.

Fire Officials say the family made it out safely, but they say the home is a total loss.

Crews say they got the fire under control within 20 minutes.

The Durant Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.

"It's not suspicious at this time, but the only thing they had a space heater in the bedroom. But we still don't know what the cause was," said Wade Boyd, Durant Fire Marshal.

Caddo Fire Department also responded.
