TISHOMINGO, OK - A Johnston County house fire this morning has left one Tishomingo couple without a home.

Crews say when they arrived on scene around 10 a.m. the east end of the home on 1201 Kingsberry Lane was fully engulfed. For about four hours more than a dozen firefighters from Tishomingo and Ravia battled the blaze. Investigators say a space heater sitting too close to home items ignited the flames. Officials say the couple was not home at the time and unfortunately they couldn't save the 3 dogs and 2 birds that were inside. Firefighters say they believe the home to be a total loss, and luckily no one was injured.
