SHERMAN, TX -- Americans are honoring the red, white and blue on this Flag Day.

We spoke to scouts in the Texoma Valley District who reminded us of some flag etiquette.

The American flag should be lighted at all times, flown in fair weather and should never touch the ground.

To properly dispose of a tattered, unrepairable flag, our Flag Code says to dispose of it in a "dignified way, preferably by burning."

Thursday is also the Army's 237th birthday. It is the oldest branch of the U-S military.
