FANNIN COUNTY, TX -- A morning fire has left a Fannin County family of five without a home just days before Christmas.

We spoke to a former volunteer firefighter who lived at the home off CR 2225 in Ivanhoe. He told us he was able to get his wife and 3 children out just in time. Residents say the fire ignited around 9:30 Sunday morning.

We have not been able to get in contact with firefighters who fought the blaze, so no word on the cause of this fire.

If you would like to help the family they say a donation jar has been set up at Manhart General Store in Ivanhoe.
