Former Johnston County Reserve Sheriff Deputy sentenced

JOHNSTON COUNTY, OK -- A former Johnston County Reserve Sheriff's Deputy has been sentenced after entering a "No Contest" plea.

Michael Reeder was arrested back in October for assaulting a woman in front of three children and was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in the presence of a minor.

He received a 10 year deferred sentence and must serve 120 days in the Johnston County jail.

The court clerk's office says Reeder will have to report to the DA's office each month, and must also attend a 52 week domestic violence counseling course.
