A former Oklahoma state representative has passed away.

Abraham Deutschendorf spent his last day Sunday at Trinity Baptist Church in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was preparing a meal for homeless people when he died.

He served as the state representative for 12 years for District 62, which includes Comanche County.

Governor Mary Fallin ordered all American and Oklahoma state flags on public property to fly at half staff. The flags stayed at half staff from 8 to 5 p.m.

Deutschendorf was 77.
