DURANT, OK -- A former city manager of McAlester has released a statement to News 12 a day after he was arrested in Durant.

Police say they arrested Randy Green Friday for allegedly "threatening or intimidating a city employee".

In a statement Green said, "This bogus arrest is the latest in a series of retaliatory actions by certain city leaders due to my being a "community activist" by requesting public records of official's salaries, neglect to code enforcement, streets and flooding ills which is blatant in every
area of Durant."
