Four Texoma cities compete for CAC Golf Tournament Mayor's Cup

Four cities are competing for the Mayor's Cup today in the annual CAC Golf Tournament.

The Mayor's Cup is new this year. Teams from Sherman, Denison, Van Alstyne and Pottsboro governments are in competition.

Martha Nuckols, CAC executive director, said more than 100 golfers are playing this year - making it their biggest year yet.

So far, she said they've tallied $20,000. That's already more than last year.

Nuckols said she loves meeting the people who support their organization.

"It's all the excitement of all these people who come out to support us," she said. "They know what we do, and most of these people support us throughout the year. So it's a wonderful event for us."

Winners:

1st place. Overall Grayson County Sheriffs Office
2nd place Ron Yout set family
3rd place Opie Manes
