Funeral held for 3 killed in Wilson house fire

WILSON, OK - Funeral services were held Thursday for a mother and two children killed in a recent Carter County house fire.

27-year-old Dondria Hickman and her children 7-year-old Brooklyn and 4-year-old Benjamin Jr. died last Thursday morning when their home just south of Wilson caught fire. Their father, Benjamin Hickman Sr. was able to escape the blaze.

Services for the three victims were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson.

Officials believe the cause of the fire may have been a portable heater.
