Gainesville charity surpasses major fundraising goal

GAINESVILLE, TX - Abigail's Arms in Gainesville has surpassed their major fundraising goal of $1 million for 2012.

The money raised will go toward the shelter project being built in conjunction with the Cooke County Family Crisis Center.

Once the facility is complete, it will house up to 44 women and children.

They say they hope to raise their second million in 2013.
