GAINESVILLE, TX -- A Gainesville man has been sentenced to life in prison and a $10,000 dollar fine for his role in the death of child.
Johnny Earl Alexander appeared in court Friday afternoon after being found guilty of injury to a child Thursday evening.
This began after an incident back in September of 2011, when 4-year-old Nathan De Alejandro died of burns on 60% of his body that authorities say went untreated for 2 weeks.
During the trial, the medical examiner testified the child had been intentionally burned.
We have a crew in Gainesville and will have more tonight on News 12.
