Gas line break in Ardmore causes evacuations

ARDMORE, OK - Friday morning a gas line broke in an Ardmore neighborhood.

City workers were working on a water line when they accidentally hit a gas line.

The leak happened at D street and 8th street northwest

They called the fire department and OG and E to turn off the gas.

The fire department evacuated two homes.

Firefighters and OG and E employees were set up at a two block radius all around the intersection to monitor air quality.
