Gate passes stolen from Lamar Co. Fairgrounds

PARIS, TX-- Paris Police are investigating after hundreds of parking passes were stolen from the Lamar County Fairgrounds.

Police say a person performing community service at the fairgrounds stole over 250 gate passes to the upcoming fair.

They say that person was reportedly selling the passes at a discounted price online. The value of the stolen passes totals nearly $1,300.

Paris police say they've identified a person of interest but no arrest has been made.

The Red River Valley Fair runs from September 20th through the 27th, with the carnival starting on September 23rd.
