SHERMAN, TX -- A member of the Bush family is in Sherman Tuesday evening.

George P. Bush, son of Jeb Bush, grandson of George H. W. Bush, was the keynote speaker at Tuesday evening's Texoma Patriots Tea Party meeting.

He's on the campaign trail for Texas Land Commissioner.

The former educator, businessman and veteran spoke about decentralizing education, emphasizing math and science in school and developing energy policies to harness Texas's energy resources.

"It's been really busy -- we get invitations from all parts of the state, so we absolutely had to hit Sherman as part of our whirlwind tour through the summer, but it's tough, there's 26 million Texans," George P. Bush said about his campaign thus far.

He has visited several North Texas cities in the past few weeks.
