Glitch in new TAPS route system cause bus delays

SHERMAN, TX-New routes are causing some delays for TAPS customers.

TAPS executive director, Brad Underwood, said they launched their new routing system, RouteMatch, Tuesday and have been experiencing some technical difficulties. Underwood said they switched to the new software because of higher demand. In the past, they managed routes manually.

"Technology does come with a price. It's a good thing for us because we're gonna be able to create greater efficiencies for our system, we're gonna be able to offer more service to the general public. It's just the first few days have been challenging," he said.

Underwood said they are hoping to have the system fixed by the end of the week. If you're continuing to experience delays, call TAPS (800) 256-0911.
