SHERMAN, TX -- A grand jury indicted a man who allegedly broke into a Sherman home and assaulted a man inside the home.

25-year-old Steven Foust faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a charge of burglary of a habitation.

Police say Foust broke into a house on the 1400 block of North Ricketts in early February.

They say the resident of the home confronted Foust trying to hold him until police arrived.

Police say Foust broke free, threw a chair at the resident, and then tried to stab him.

His next court date has not been set.
