GRAYSON CO., TEXAS -- Grayson County's Juvenile Detention Center is expanding -- adding 48 beds and nearly 60 jobs.

Director of Juvenile Services Bill Bristow says they're solidifying designs for both the detention center and administrative office expansions.

Bristow says they've seen an increase in the number of kids being sent to their center.

"We've got a 48 bed expansion for secure post-adjudication placements and those are kids that come in from all across the state for anything from burglaries, robberies, those property type crimes," Bristow said.

Right now, the detention center is full.
