Grayson County commissioners approve new auto registration renewal program

GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- Grayson County shoppers headed out to pick up groceries will soon be able to renew their vehicle registrations right at the store.

Commissioners approved a WebSub program, which will allow Kroger in Sherman and Denison to offer auto registration renewal at their store in a few weeks.

Tax Assessor Collector Bruce Stidham jumped on the program after hearing that counties south of the area are using it successfully.

He says it'll allow residents who work 9 to 5 to get their renewals done on their own time.

Stidham said, "We're all about convenience and trying to provide more convenient ways of dealing with your county government and I think this will be very, very successful."

Once the renewal program is implemented in a few weeks drivers will be able to complete the renewal at the Kroger customer service desk.
