Holiday lights on in Denison

DENISON, TX -- Christmas cheer is in full swing in Denison.

Tonight holiday lights were lit at Loy Lake Park for the 12th year. This year's display is dedicated to veterans.

Driving through the displays is a great way to get into the holiday spirit without leaving the warmth of your car. The display will be open every night from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m., through New Years Eve.

"We bought over 20,000 light bulbs this year to replace in these displays. We have over 350,000 watts of light that's produced from it. It's quite an undertaking to get them up and get them going," coordinator, Jeff Schneider said.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
