HONEY GROVE, TX -- A man drowned in Fannin County Monday evening.
It happened around 5 p.m. on private property in Honey Grove.
News 12 is told an elderly man was checking a field to see if he could cut it for hay when he walked into a pond and drowned.
He was reportedly on the property with the owner's permission.
His name is not being released and not many other details are available at this time.
