Hugo man charged with stabbing man with butcher knife

HUGO, OK -- A Hugo man is behind bars after police say he stabbed a man over the weekend.

Police say around 1 a.m. Saturday they received a call of a stabbing on Lowery Parkway.

Officers found that the homeowner refused to let 45-year old Allen Miller in his home. The homeowner then came outside, where Miller punched the homeowner and stabbed him in the back with a butcher's knife.

During the investigation, police went to Miller's home where they noticed his hands had blood on them and found the knife believed to be involved in the assault.

Miller is being held at the Choctaw County Jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and has since been released.
