Husband, wife busted in attempted arson plot

DENISON, TX - A Denison woman was arrested after deputies say she tried to burn down her own house.

The Grayson County Sheriff's Office tells us Amy Turner hatched a plan with her incarcerated husband, Noel, to set fire to the couple's home on East Morton Street for the insurance money so they could bond him out of jail.

They say she'd already tried once before to burn down the home and found evidence her husband had given her instructions how to do it.

Deputies arrested Turner for attempted arson last week before she could follow through with the plan. Her husband remains in the county jail for credit card abuse and child sexual assault.
