FANNIN COUNTY, TX -- A section of U.S. 82 in Fannin County was shutdown for more than two hours Thursday after a semi truck jumped a bridge guardrail.
The accident happened around 4 p.m. over the Caney Creek near 898.
Troopers say they're investigating what caused the accident, which destroyed a metal guardrail.
The semi was the only vehicle involved in the accident and its lone driver was uninjured.
News 12 is told the driver of the semi does not remember what led to the crash -- but that it could have been much worse.
TxDOT workers inspected the bridge for safety measures before reopening it.
