HEALDTON, OK -- The interim Healdton police chief, who was recently suspended, is now back at work.
Co-interim City Manager Adrienne Louwerse says Jarod Barnes suspension has been lifted and another officer has been hired to join the team as well.
The Healdton City Council had suspended Barnes in a special meeting March 29th but wouldn't comment about why.
Court records show Jarod Barnes' wife filed a protective order against him 2 weeks ago, but the order was dismissed last week in Carter County Court.
Barnes was named interim chief after the former police chief stepped down in January.
