Jury: Woman guilty of pushing husband to death

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A jury has found a 21-year-old woman guilty of second-degree murder for pushing her husband out of the couple's 25th-floor apartment in downtown Tulsa.

Jurors deliberated for about three hours Monday before convicting Amber Hilberling. The jury recommended she serve 25 years in prison for pushing 23-year-old Joshua Hilberling to his death in 2011.

Prosecutors had argued that Amber Hilberling shoved her husband after becoming enraged because her husband was going to leave her.

Defense attorneys acknowledged that she push her husband, but say she did so only out of self-defense. The defense also argued that the window Joshua Hilberling fell through was made of "unusually thin" glass that had been poorly maintained.
