MCCURTAIN COUNTY, OK -- The jury trial is underway for the McCurtain County man charged with the murder of his wife 10 years after she went missing.
Investigators say 39-year-old Jerry Meek reported his wife 25-year-old Hope Meek missing back in 2002.
They collected enough evidence to show she was dead but never found her body.
Meek was arrested in August of last year.
Authorities say his arrest was made possible by a new DA willing to prosecute the case without Hope Meek's body.
