PARIS, TX-- A large drug bust at a Paris hotel Wednesday lands two convicted felons behind bars.

Police arrested 59 year old Robert Daugherty and 47 year old Sharon Boyd, both of Lamar County, at the America's Best Value Inn on the 3700 block of Northeast Loop 286.

Paris Police Chief Bob Hundley says, they received a tip through crime stoppers about drug sales in a local hotel. Detectives say once they got a search warrant for the room, they found the drugs.

"We found a large quantity of methamphetamine at least 35 grams, probably a little more than that," said Detective Leigh Foreman. "Hydrocodone tablets, baggies and ledgers were found. The ledgers indicated how much he was selling, trafficking and who he sold to and who he is going to sell to."

Both have been taken to the Lamar County Jail.
