Last minute shoppers hit Sherman Town Center

SHERMAN, TEXAS -- Last minute shoppers hit Sherman Town Center today, grabbing gifts for friends and family.

The National Retail Federation says 17 million people across the country are out shopping this Christmas Eve.

Shoppers at Town Center say the stores are busy, but they don't have any options other than facing the crowds.

"Very busy. I'm sure it's going to be a lot of long lines, but we gotta do it," shopper Sierra Brown said.

"Mom's home making pork chops," shopper Kassidy Cragg said.

"So you guys snuck out to go buy gifts?"

"Yes," Cragg said.

Many major retailers were open today.

Best Buy closes at 5 p.m., Walmart closes at 7:30 p.m. and Target will stay open until 9 p.m.
