SHERMAN, TX -- A man accused of cheating homeowners in Sherman and Cooke County has been sentenced for the crimes.

29-year-old Joshua Michael Bell pleaded guilty to four charges of property theft from the elderly and was sentenced to nine years in prison on each charge. His sentence will run concurrently.

Investigators say Bell went door-to-door and convinced people they needed unnecessary home repairs, then took off with their money.
